Wilshere accepts FA charge

Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has accepted the FA misconduct charges handed to him for an incident relating to anti-Spurs chants during Arsenal’s victory parade.

Having previously been handed a written warning by the FA for the same chants, it was decided that Wilshere had not ‘learnt his lesson’ and had to be charged for his participation in the incident.

Wilshere also apologised via Twitter on 1st June, saying that sharing back to back FA Cup triumphs with the Arsenal faitfhul was a dream come true.

The Arsenal star, who has been at the club for all of his professional football career has reportedly requested a non-personal hearing, meaning written submissions are taken by an independent disciplinary commission and once sat in due course will decide whether to impose a financial penalty or a suspension.

The 23 year-old midfielder is currently on international duty with England and featured in midfield for the Three Lions against the Republic of Ireland five days ago.
