Amid reports that Galatasaray are interesting in bringing Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski to Turkey, the player himself has claimed that he would consider a move to Turkey if the opportunity arose.
Podolski, who was sent out on loan to Italian giants Inter Milan last season has been out of favour at the Emirates for a while and is expected to leave the club this summer, with a number of interested parties including the Turkish side.
30 year-old Podolski said while speaking to NTV Sport: “If an offer comes from Turkey, I will sit down and talk about it with my family and girlfriend.
“If I find the right club, the right coach, the right environment, I will evaluate it.
“If these conditions are met, I think everything is possible.
“The next transfer could be my last, so I have to take a well-thought step.”
Despite Podolski claiming that a move to Turkey may be possible, Galatasaray head coach Hamza Hamzaoğlu claimed that Podolski is not currently being targeted by the club: “Podolski is not on our radar right now, he was in the winter but not right now.”
Podolski’s Arsenal teammate Joel Campbell is also widely expected to depart North London this summer for Turkey, with Fenerbahce the possible destination.
