Monaco may cash in on Kondogbia

Arsenal target Geoffrey Kondogbia may be allowed to leave Monaco this summer according to boss Leonardo Jardim, with the 40 year-old citing ‘financial reasons’ as the main aspect of the potential sale.

As well as Kondogbia, Radamel Falcao is widely expected to leave the club after being sent on an unsuccessful season long loan to Manchester United last season.

Speaking to L’Equipe, Jardim claimed: “I know about everything that could happen.

“I would just like it all to be done with as soon as possible.

“With Vadim and Luis, it was quite clear: Bernardo Silva and [Anthony] Martial will stay, as will [Nabil] Dirar, [Danijel] Subasic, [Andrea] Raggi, Elderson [Echiéjilé] and [Jérémy] Toulalan.

All the others could leave for financial reasons.”

If Arsenal do sign Kondogbia, he will add much needed brute power and strength to the midfield and will likely slot into the team alongside the imperiously talented Francis Coquelin.

With Wenger a long term admirer of 22 year-old Kondogbia, it is believed that Arsenal have been preparing a bid for for the Frenchman for some time now.
