Arsenal have approached Swansea to sign midfielder Ki Sueng-Yung, according to Sky Sports.
The 26-year-old has been the driving force in the Swans’ midfield this season, which has seen them attain their highest ever league position of eighth place.
The South Korean plays in a system at Swansea which isn’t that much different from what we play at the Arsenal with the 4-2-3-1, playing a deeper role akin to Santi Cazorla. Could he be the replacement for Cazorla? Santi has repeatedly been linked with a return to Spain the last few months with Atletico Madrid.
It’s hard to see where Ki would fit into the side considering the number of midfielders we already have at the club. Ramsey, Wilshere, Cazorla, Coquelin, Flamini, Arteta and Ozil are all already vying for three or four places in the starting XI, and I’m not even sure several of those players have the necessarily quality to help take Arsenal back to the top.
