Where do Arsenal stand in terms of wages?
The Global Sports Salaries Survey for 2015 is finally out and according to the new released figures, Arsenal feature in the top 10.
The GSSS is based solely on the earnings for playing the respective sport, not for endorsements or other extra-curricular activities. The 2015 report surveyed 333 teams in 17 leagues across 13 countries in seven sports: football, baseball, basketball, American football, cricket, ice hockey and Australian Rules football.
Paris St. Germain are top of the list with an average first team salary of £101,898 per week, while Manchester City, who topped the poll in 2014, have fallen to third place behind Real Madrid.
The Premier League recorded a good presence this year with five Premier League sides making the top 20.
Arsenal are 10th in the list and find themselves behind English rivals Chelsea and Manchester United, who stand respectively at eighth and sixth. Liverpool have not featured in this year’s top ten and find themselves at number 14.
