Thierry Henry believes Arsenal are interested in signing Raheem Sterling and has suggested that Arsene Wenger wants him this summer.
Raheem Sterling is reportedly seeking a move away from Anfield after contract negotiations broke down between his representatives and Liverpool.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry had his say on the matter after Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with Sunderland:
“There is one thing I would say about Raheem Sterling.
“We all know he is a Londoner and we know Arsenal want him with the way Arsene was speaking yesterday, which suggests he wants him.”
It has been widely reported that the winger has been exploring the possibility of returning to his hometown, and Arsenal seem to be the ideal fit. Whether Liverpool will sell to Arsenal is a different matter.
Despite Henry’s allegiances to Arsenal, he did admit that Sterling has been receiving bad advice:
“We all know the lad is receiving bad advice. You can’t talk about your contract in public, you have to respect your club and the fans.”
However, the King finished by saying he would be “more than happy” to see Raheem Sterling lineup for the Arsenal come next season:
“I would be more than happy to see him play for Arsenal, but he’s still a Liverpool player.”
Do you want Arsenal to sign Sterling?
