Twitter reacts: Manchester United 1-1 Arsenal

Manchester United and Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw in what was a end-to-end game. As usual, social media was a flood of thoughts. Let’s re-tell the story of the game through a series of tweets.

Phil Jones did a Phil Jones thing and Twitter blew up…

Arsenal didn’t start the out too great…

PaddyPower had their say on Ospina’s effort for the first goal…

Then, to compound Arsenal’s misery, a fly made it on TV…

One Arsenal account explained Manchester United’s tactics…

The second half started, and it was more of the same from Arsenal. Santi Cazorla in particular had a pretty shoddy game.

One fan planned out Arsenal’s star players summers…

Then, from outta’ nowhere, a wild Walcott appeared…

(Don’t tell the club account it was actually an own-goal.)

De Gea, did go off injured, and @BeardedGenius wanted the Manchester United team to pay a tribute to him, a la Gerrard.

What was your favourite tweet of the match? Have we missed any? Let us know!

matchday.
