Arsenal have ‘already made’ a decision over a potential move for Jurgen Klopp, who will definitely NOT be Arsenal Manager at the start of next season, according to The Telegraph.
It was announced in a news conference that current manager Jurgen Klopp will depart Borrusia Dortmund at the end of the current campaign, who have struggled domestically this season.
Klopp spoke in a news conference and said: “I always said in that moment where I believe I am not the perfect coach anymore for this extraordinary club I will say so.
“I really think the decision is the right one. This club deserves to be coached from the 100% right manager.”
It is unknown where Klopp will move to next season, with a number of Premier League clubs including Newcastle United and Manchester City reportedly interested in attaining his services.
However, according to The Telegraph one club he will not be managing next season is Arsenal, with the club very confident in Arsene Wenger’s ability to lead the club forward for at least the next two seasons.
Arsenal are currently sat second in the Premier League after an impressive run of form and have an FA Cup semi-final tie to consider this weekend against Championship side Reading.
The Telegraph has reported that Arsenal have also discussed Wenger’s successor, but that is ‘long-term planning and they believe that their manager is as committed, focused and driven as ever.’
Wenger is also set to be given a transfer budget of £50m for this summer and with Dortmund’s Manager definitely set to leave the struggling club at the end of the season, it may be likely that some of the club’s stars will look for the exit too, so Wenger may be keeping a tab on the situation.
