Arsenal are looking to target a £25m double deal to sign Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia and Schalke man Kevin-Prince Boateng according the Express and other reports in the UK.
As Monaco have priced a £14.5m price tag on Arsenal and Manchester United target Geoffrey Kondogbia who has been a defining factor in Monaco’s solid defensive displays this season. The French midfielder scored against Arsenal at the Emirates in the Champions League last week and is attracting the attention of many top clubs.
Kondogbia, who has been capped by France just once, has an 86% pass completion rate in five Champions League, Kondogbia also boasts a stunning 94% pass success rate in Ligue 1, former Arsenal great Perry Groves also urged Arsène Wenger to sign the Frenchman and Groves compared him to Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira.
The Gunners are also believed to be in pole position to sign former Tottenham player Kevin-Prince Boateng from German side Schalke. Considered a flop at Tottenham, the Ghanaian revitalised his career on the South Coast with Portsmouth but has since joined A.C Milan before ending up at Schalke, and, according to the media, Arsenal are preparing to test Schalke with a £10 million bid.
Inter Milan are said to be rivalling the Gunners for his signature, meaning that he will surely sign for either one of his former club’s biggest rivals.
He has 18 months remaining on his current contract and with no new deal on the table, there could be many clubs sniffing around the German-born Ghana international.
