Alexis Sanchez is back in training and could feature for Arsenal against Leicester City on Tuesday night.
Arsenal welcome back Alexis Sanchez after the Chilean missed the 5-0 win over Aston Villa and the 2-1 defeat at Tottenham. It will come as some relief for Arsene Wenger and many Arsenal fans after their poor display at Tottenham lacked someone of Alexis’s presence and ability.
Arsene Wenger had this to say about Alexis Sanchez in his press conference earlier today:
“He’s our best goalscorer and one of our hardest-working players in the team. Physically I think we suffered a little bit on some occasions on Saturday and it’s good to have him back.”
Marco Reus has dealt a massive blow to potential suitors after reports in Germany claimed that Borussia Dortmund are set to scrap the release clause Reus had by making the 25-year old their highest earner. Negotiations are said to be ongoing but with a deal now close, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are set to miss out on one of the summer’s biggest stars.
There are rumours floating around that Bayern Munich are willing to double the former Borussia Mönchengladbach star’s wages to lure the Dortmund star to Bavaria and even though the German champions’ offer won’t compare to Dortmund’s financially, Reus could be tempted by the idea of not sitting on the bench, but by leading Dortmund’s future crop of talent.
