As expected, Arsenal made light work of Aston Villa and ran out comfortable 5-0 winners at the Emirates Stadium thanks to goals from Olivier Giroud, Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla and Hector Bellerin.
Here are my player ratings for all the players that started..
GK: David Ospina – Another good performance from the Colombian. He just doesn’t like conceding goals! Made a crucial save at 1-0. Going to be tough for Woj to get back in. 8/10.
RB: Hector Bellerin – He grows in confidence every week. Really impressed with how he’s coming along. Going to be hard for Debuchy to get back in. Capped off his performance with a great goal. 8/10.
CB: Laurent Koscielny – Didn’t have much to do, but dealt with the presence of Benteke well. Another clean sheet so there’s not a lot to criticise him over! 7/10.
CB: Per Mertesacker – Led the team well again. Villa didn’t offer much but again he snuffed out anything that came his way. 7/10.
LB: Nacho Monreal – Thought Nacho was great again. Really has improved. Will be tough for Gibbs to get back in. 8/10.
CM: Francis Coquelin – Who needs a DM? Another solid game from Coquelin. Which is what we’ve come to expect. Love his pro-activeness. 7.5/10.
CM: Aaron Ramsey – Not his best game but he showed flashes and had a few attempts on goal. Looked more dangers with Ozil in the team. 7/10.
CAM: Santi Cazorla – Showed moments of brilliance and was all-around very good. In the form of his Arsenal career. 8/10.
RW: Theo Walcott – Looked rusty at times but his goal would have done him the world of good. Expect him to play a big part of the next few months. 7.5/10.
LW: Mesut Ozil – Scintillating stuff from the World Champion. He played a superb flick to feed Giroud for the first and stroked home a beautiful third. He’s back. 9/10.
ST: Olivier Giroud – He grabbed a goal and was a constant nuisance. 5 in his last 6 league games. Happy to have him. £12m is a bargain. 8/10.
