According to reports in France, Arsenal are interested in Tottenham Hotspur’s French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and could make a sensational £25 million move for the player in the summer transfer window.
The ‘keeper is thought to be desperately craving Champions League football and Arsenal provide him with a much better chance of that than Spurs. Having said that, the chances of a certain Daniel Levy doing any business with Arsenal any time soon are slim.
The Express report that Arsenal still have some long term doubts over Wojciech Szczesny, who has seen his form completely fall off. He recently featured in the cup clash with Brighton and Hove Albion, but aside from that, has been replaced between the sticks by Colombian David Ospina.
Hugo Lloris is a fantastic goalkeeper and one most sides in Europe would benefit from signing. He has cat-like reflexes, is sharp off his line, and constantly keeps his side in games. He’s far too goo for that lot down the road. He would instantly improve us and is the second best goalkeeper in the league for me.
Having said that, you’d have to think it would take hell to freeze over for Spurs to do business with Arsenal again. It just doesn’t look like happening. Real Madrid perhaps, could be the more sensible destination.
