Arsene Wenger has given an indication that he is open to taking up an ‘upstairs role’ at Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.
The Telegraph have revealed that Wenger is to ‘seriously consider’ stepping away from managerial duties and take up an upstairs position in the light of an executive role offer from PSG.

Wenger leaves his post at Arsenal after 22 years in charge and he said he would initially take a few weeks off to decide his next move.
Wenger said:
Maybe with a distance I will think, ‘no, maybe it’s a time to change a little bit direction. That’s what I have to decide. This has been a fantastic period for me but I have to turn the page and go for the next challenge.
Another job opening could be on the cards for Wenger with the possibility of taking the ‘general manager’ position at PSG, alongside the new incoming head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Arsenal are yet to offer the role to Wenger and according to the Telegraph, ‘there is no prospect of him taking any sort of upstairs role just now at Arsenal.’
The Gunners have plans to appointment a new manager first and Wenger hopes that some of his old coaching staff will remain at the club. He said:
Of course people who come in also want their own staff, it’s about finding the right adjustment. I always tried to have a local person, who knows the culture, who knows the habits, the tradition and makes sure you don’t make the mistakes.
