Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny will be sidelined for at least six months according to Sky Sports.
The French international has already undergone surgery on his Achilles tendon, so will be unable to participate in the World Cup, that starts in just over a month’s time.
The 32-year-old was injured during Arsenal’s Europa League semi-final defeat to Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano last week.

The soon to be ex-manager of Arsenal – Arsene Wenger, confirmed the news ahead of the Gunners’ game with Leicester City.
Koscielny is, of course, devastated because he needs surgery. That means he will be out for six months. You will not see him until the beginning of December, at best.
In other Arsenal news, Santi Cazorla may not start again for the Gunners due to his contract expiring at the end of the season. The 33-year-old has struggled to regain fitness after being out since October 2016. With two games left of the season, it looks unlikely he will play at all due to reoccurring ankle problems.

The Arsenal boss had this to say on the former Spanish international.
It’s a shame. I brought him here and I love the player and the person. He looks quite good, prepares well, runs well, but medically it’s too much of a risk to rush him back.
