Arsenal are interested in signing Atalanta midfielder Bryan Cristante, according to Sky Sports.
The central midfielder was on loan at the Italian side from Benfica but his deal was made permanent this year, following a brilliant first half of the season.
They will be rivalled for the deal with both Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund also watching the youngster.
Atalanta currently sit sixth in Serie A and Cristante has contributed massively to that, scoring nine goals in 32 appearances. The 23-year-old even scored the equaliser as they came back from two down to draw 2-2 with Juventus back in October.

Most notably for English fans, he scored in both ties against Everton in this season’s Europa League including a double in the 5-1 victory at Goodison Park.
Cristante’s performances led to him being called up to the Italian national team for the first time in October, making his debut as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Macedonia.
With the rumour that Arsenal are ready to give up on Granit Xhaka and sell the Swiss international, they will be looking at signing new midfielders in the summer.
