Wenger not set to become French club’s head coach
A source close to Paris Saint Germain has reportedly told ESPN that Wenger won’t join the club in a first team coaching role.
It was announced last week that Wenger would be leaving Arsenal at the end of the season after 22 years at the helm, winning three Premier League titles and seven FA Cup trophies during his time with the club.
Since the announcement of his Arsenal departure speculation has been rife that the Frenchman could move back to his homeland and take up the managerial position at PSG, with current boss Unai Emery out of contract at the end of the season.
However a source has told ESPN that although Wenger could join PSG in the future that it would not be as a coach, and instead it would be as a general manager.
Borussia Dortmund, alongside a number of clubs in Japan and China, are expected to make moves for Wenger this summer.
