Diego Simeone has rejected the chance to potentially become the next manager of Arsenal.
According to The Mirror, Arsenal sounded Simeone out, before the boss revealed his intentions to stay with Atletico Madrid.
Arsene Wenger announced last week that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season, finishing his 22nd year with Arsenal.
The club are now seeking out his successor and were considering Simeone for the role.

Simeone has been lauded for the excellent job he has done with Atletico Madrid, which has included winning a La Liga title, finishing above Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Luis Enrique is thought to be Arsenal’s top target at this moment in time. He has been out of a job since leaving Barcelona at the end of last season.
Mikel Arteta, currently part of Manchester City’s staff, has also been linked to the job.
The former Arsenal midfielder has never been the manager of a senior side.
