Napoli boss is ‘an option’ for Arsenal
Maurizio Sarri is reportedly ‘an option’ for Arsenal as they bid to replace Arsene Wenger this summer.
According to claims from Sky Italia journalist Massimo Ugolini, as reported by Calciomercato, the Napoli manager is one boss who Arsenal are considering moving for at the end of the season.
News emerged on Friday that Wenger would be stepping down at the end of the season, meaning that the search for Arsenal’s new first-team manager has already begun.
A number of well-established European managers have already been linked with the job, such as Luis Enrique and Carlo Ancelotti. However, it seems Sarri may be an option for the top brass at the Emirates.
Sarri is set to stage talks with Napoli’s board in the near future regarding his future, with speculation continuing to surround whether or not he will be at the Stadio San Paolo next season.
His work at Napoli has certainly been in impressive and his side have proven to be Juventus’ closest competitors for the Serie A title in recent times.
