Arsenal have reportedly cooled on a move for Manchester United’s Anthony Martial, according to the Evening Standard.
It is still rumoured that Martial wants out of Old Trafford after a lack of first team opportunites after the signing of Alexis Sanchez.
Wenger was interested in getting Martial in January in exchange for Sanchez, but was told that Martial would not be included in any deal.
However, the relationship between Martial and United Boss Jose Mourinho soured since then with Barcelona, Juventus, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid all now interested in getting the Frenchman.
Despite only having a deal left on his contract, United rate Martial at over £60m. This means Arsenal are unlikely to make an offer for the Frenchman, with Wenger prioritising other options in the Summer.
Wenger remains an admirer of Martial, but after signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, a move for Martial does seem an unlikely one.
