Freiburg centre-back Caglar Soyuncu has impressed in the Bundesliga this season and is starting to be linked with a lucrative move across Europe.

According to Calciomercato in Italy, both Roma and Arsenal are tracking the 21-year-old defender and are considering summer bids to prise him away from his Bundesliga employers.

Soyuncu began his early career in Turkey and made a name for himself with second-tier side Altinordu before completing a £2.4m move to Freiburg in the summer of 2016.

Over the last two seasons, he’s made 50 appearances for the Bundesliga side and has broken into the Turkey national team in the process but is being looked at by both Roma and Arsenal for a summer transfer.

It’s believed that Freiburg have no interest in selling the young defender but if an offer in the region of €30m is put forward for Soyuncu then their hands may be tied and he could well leave. Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been linked.
