Hector Bellerín’s agent has said that there has been “no contact” from potential suitors amid speculation over the Arsenal defender’s future.
The 23-year old right-back has been linked with a host of clubs in recent months, including Juventus, Napoli and Manchester United, and his future with the Gunners looks uncertain, despite him being contracted with the club until 2023.
It has been reported that Arsenal would consider doing business for the defender if they were to be offered around £50million, money which would help them overhaul an underperforming squad.
However Bellerín’s agent Albert Botines told Radio CRC that no clubs have declared their interest. He said;
There’s no contact for Bellerin, no-one has sought me out.
He’s happy, he’s recently renewed and he’s playing consistently. It’s true that every player always wants to grow, but right now it’s difficult [to see him leaving].
If the Azzurri were interested in some of my clients I would listen, because – just like Juventus – Napoli are not only a great team in Italy but also now in Europe.
Standard Sport understand that, while Juventus would be interested, the combined transfer fee and Bellerín’s 100,000-a-week wages would make him the second most expensive signing in the club’s history, behind Gonzalo Higauin.
If the defender were to earn the same at Juventus he would rank among the highest earners, above the likes of Miralem Pjanić and Mario Mandžukić.
The Spaniard wanted to leave for Barcelona in the summer, and with Arsenal going through a tough time at the moment, he could yet be keen to force a move this summer.
