According to reports from Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Napoli are in search for a new left-back ahead of next season and have identified Arsenal target Alex Grimaldo as one of their potential targets.
There is uncertainty surrounding the future of Faouzi Ghoulam, who is currently suffering from a broken kneecap, and Grimaldo is the latest name to be on Napoli’s list of targets.
Grimaldo has been strongly linked with Arsenal in the past, along with Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco.
Arsenal completed the signing of left-back Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer last summer. The Bosnian has faced his ups and downs at Arsenal and has been guilty of inconsistency throughout the season, which has led to Nacho Monreal heading back in to the starting 11.

Monreal, though, is now 32 and a look into the future is essential at Arsenal so they may seek a new competitor for Kolasinac.
Grimaldo, 22, who has currently been at Benfica for the entirety of his young career, is an exciting talent; a full-back who has bags of pace and always looks to attack, whilst still being solid defensively.
There are multiple top teams after Grimaldo, so contact with the player before the transfer window opens may be needed if Arsenal want to win the race for his signature.
