Jack Wilshere says that he has proven his fitness to England and Arsenal this season.
The midfielder claims that he has found his rhythm this season and is ready to return to his best form on the international scene.
Wilshere has been maligned throughout his career for his ‘injury prone’ nature, picking up a number of serious injuries that have hampered his progress for club and country.
Speaking to BT Sport, Wilshere said this:
Not just the England manager, but the Arsenal manager made it clear what he wanted from me. He wanted me to prove my fitness. And I think I have done that now.

The manager (Southgate) made it clear what he wanted me to do, get some games for Arsenal in the Premier League. I have done that and he has been true to his word. It is down to me to repay him now.
It was hard, it was tough. Back in the summer when I was watching the boys training not knowing if I was staying or was I leaving.
Once I knew I was staying I was determined to get my head down and get back into the team. It is always an honour to play for my country, I have said that many times. I never gave up hope. I believed in myself and I believed in my ability.
The English midfielder spent last season on loan to Premier League side Bournemouth and proved that he was still able to compete at the top level.
He has been linked with a number of clubs, with Everton and Juventus said to be interested in him if Arsenal decide to move him on.
His contract is set to expire in the summer, with Arsenal looking for Wilshere to take a pay cut in order for him to sign a new deal.
