Arsenal will face CSKA Moscow in Europa League quarter final, with the home leg first.
The Gunners will be delighted to have avoided Atletico Madrid and will fancy their chances against CSKA, although the trip to Russia is hardly the most appealing, in terms of distance.
Elsewhere in the draw, Bundesliga side RB Leipzig avoided a ‘Red Bull’ derby against Salzburg, as they will face Ligue 1 giants Marseille.
Atletico will fancy their chances against Sporting Lisbon, whilst Lazio and Salzburg will both be confident of advancing after they were drawn together.
With a place in the Champions League up for grabs for the competition’s winner, Arsenal will be giving their all to win the Europa League and won’t be too worried about facing CSKA.
