Arsenal are set to offer Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri the managerial position at the club.

According to The Guardian, Arsenal were impressed by the way Allegri knocked Tottenham out of the Champions League and want him to take the helm at The Emirates.

The Italian boss is highly thought of in Italy and has spoken many times about his desire to win trophies and not dawdle on past successes – an accusation which has been thrown at Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal look set to part ways with Wenger this summer after a poor season, in which they look set to finish 6th, with no trophies.

The club will now look to poach Allegri from Juventus, who has won seven trophies since joining the Italian side in 2014.

Juventus are still pushing on in the Champions League and Allegri could yet add to his honours list as a manager before the season is up.
