Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto has long been linked with a move to Arsenal and the player’s agent has confirmed that there is interest from the Gunners.
The Slovakia international is enjoying another impressive season in Udinese colours and appears to be attracting more and more interest from top clubs across Europe.
AC Milan are stated to have expressed an interest in signing Jankto, but it appears they may need to fight off Arsenal for the midfielder’s signature.
As quoted by the Mirror, Jankto’s agent Giuseppe Riso confirmed that he will discuss his client’s future with him in the summer, after the 2017/18 has drawn to a conclusion.
They are certainly contenders. Jankto is an important player. We decided with the Pozzo family not to talk about this question in January; to allow him to develop and mature.
Milan and Arsenal are teams who keep an eye on young players, so we will certainly talk about it.
Jankto has made 22 starts for Udinese this season, netting three and contributing with four assists. He is a key player for his side and they will undoubtedly do what they can to retain his services.
However, it seems bigger things may beckon for the 22-year-old, as Arsenal’s interest becomes increasingly publicised.
