Arsenal face competition from Manchester City for Ligue 1 ace Thomas Lemar this summer, according to a Telegraph exclusive.
Arsenal previously failed with a £90million bid to sign the France international last summer, with Monaco rejecting the offer on deadline day.
Liverpool have also been linked with a move for the 22-year old, but it seems that Manchester City have now jumped to the head of the queue.
Pep Guardiola has been interested increasing his squad depth in wide positions for a while now, having failed with attempts to sign Alexis Sanchez and Riyad Mahrez in the January transfer window.

Eden Hazard is believed to be a target too, but Chelsea have unequivocally told City to forget about it – not even a world record fee would persuade them into letting the Belgian join them.
Reports are suggesting that Liverpool are trying to make an early breakthrough it what could easily become a transfer tug-of-war this summer, but both Arsenal and City are still in the race.
If Lemar did join City, he would be the third mega money signing from Monaco in the last year to join Guardiola at the Etihad, after Benjamin Mendy and Bernardo Silva both traded in Monaco for Manchester last summer.
With two years remaining on his Monaco contract at the end of this season, it is unclear how much Monaco will demand for their star forward – and it is certainly unclear where he will be playing his football next season.
