Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has no plans to step down from his role as the club’s manager as he believes he is still the best man for the job.
As reported by Matt Hughes of the Times, Wenger has told members of his backroom staff that he has no intentions of resigning, so if Arsenal want him to leave, then they are going to have to sack him.
Wenger is under massive pressure as his side have lost four consecutive games, most recently a 2-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion, but he insists that he will not walk away.

The majority of Arsenal fans are looking to Wenger to leave as the club have fallen to sixth place. They are a massive 33 points behind leaders Manchester City and 13 points behind Tottenham in fourth place.
In fact, the Gunners could be looking over their shoulders at seventh-placed Burnley, who are just five points behind them.
Despite the mounting pressure on his shoulders, Wenger is not willing to walk away from the job that he’s held for 22 years, so if we are to see a change of manager at the Emirates, the Gunners’ board will need to sack him.
