Arsenal have endured a catastrophic season so far. They sit in 6th place on the Premier League table and are a staggering 33 points adrift of league leaders Manchester City.
They have succumbed to a number of embarrassing defeats, especially in 2018. Arsenal were beaten at home by Swedish minnows Ostersunds, were trounced in the Carabao Cup final 3-0 by Manchester City and today were defeated 2-1 by Brighton.
The loss makes it four in a row for Arsene Wenger and his men and it goes without saying that the supporters have reached breaking point with the club.
Much of the onus has been placed on long-term Arsenal boss Wenger, with calls for him to leave the club only having intensified in recent weeks. Although, it cannot be denied that a number of the first-team players are not pulling their weight.
Simply put, several players in the Arsenal side are either past their peak or are not good enough.
