Doucoure reveals his preferred next club – Arsenal or Spurs?
Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure has made it clear that he would favor a move to Arsenal ahead of Tottenham Hotspur if he was to leave the club, as reported by the Hertfordshire Mercury.
The Hornets have been on a mid-season break due to a gap in their fixtures thanks to elimination from the FA Cup by Southampton in round four.
In an interview, Doucoure addressed talk surrounding his future after a number of fine performances for his club this season.
He’s been linked with a number of other sides but would prefer a move to the Emirates stadium to join his countryman Arsene Wenger, if given a choice.
The midfielder spoke about the situation in his interview.
It’s true that these clubs are interested. But I’m at Watford for the moment and I want to finish my season well.
In a round of quickfire questions, he was then asked “Spurs or Arsenal?” and his answer will certainly interest fans of the north London clubs:
Arsenal because of Arsene Wenger.
Watford are looking to tie him down to another contract to increase his value despite the fact the player is currently under a deal that expires in 2020.
