Arsenal identify their No. 1 summer transfer target
Arsenal have identified Napoli central defender Kalidou Koulibaly as their primary target for the summer transfer window, according to a report from the Guardian.
The Gunners are claimed to have sent scouts to track the defender’s progress in recent weeks and it seems they are ready to act on their apparent interest in the summer.
Koulibaly has been a mainstay in the Napoli side under Maurizio Sarri and has continued to develop in Serie A. The towering centre-back has now established himself as one of the best defenders in Italy and his performances are not going unnoticed.
Arsenal’s defensive displays this season have left a lot to be desired and it appears as though Arsene Wenger is exploring his options as he aims to remedy this problem.
Koulibaly will not come cheaply, though, and given his importance to Napoli at this moment in time, they are likely to demand a huge sum for their star defender.
