Arsenal have reportedly sent scouts to Brazil to watch Corinthians as they intend to buy their young star Maycon, according to The Daily Mail.
Corinthians stormed to victory in the 2017 Brazilian Serie A, contested over a calendar year, winning it by a comfortable nine points in the end, with Maycon being a huge part of that winning side.
The 20-year-old midfielder was virtually ever-present for the Brazilian champions. However, Arsene Wenger has sent scouts to see Maycon and Corinthians may be without their wonderkid for the 2018 Serie A.
It has been reported that if the deal were to go through, the price tag would be around the fee of £9m, which would be brilliant business by the Gunners for a player rated so highly by the Brazilian fans.

Corinthians recently played in the Florida Cup on a pre-season trip before their league campaign kicks off, beating PSV Eindhoven on penalties before losing 4-2 to Rangers.
It is believed that if Maycon were to make the move to North London, he would be loaned back to Corinthians as part of the £9m deal.
However, the Gunners are not alone in wanting him, with Napoli also reportedly interested in the midfielder, and there are a few days left for other clubs to come in and swoop in on the deal, or indeed for this deal to get done.
