Stan Kroenke has increased his stake in Arsenal to 67.09% after purchasing more shares in the club, as per Rob Harris of the PA.
The 70-year-old paid around £616,000 to buy 22 more shares in the club, meaning he now owns 41,743 total shares.
Kroenke turned down a bid from minority owner Alisher Usmanov last year as he wanted to take control of the club, before Usmanov then rejected Kroenke’s offer to purchase his shares too.
Kroenke, who also owns the Denver Nuggets of the NBA, Colorado Avalanche of the NHL, Colorado Rapids of the MLS, Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League and the Los Angeles Rams of the NFL, has no interest in selling up any time soon and his latest acquisition only further exemplifies his commitment to Arsenal.
The business man has not always been a popular figure amongst the Arsenal fanbase but it looks like he will not be going anywhere anytime soon.
