Gunners looking at Mainz defender Diallo
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said he is looking to spend more this window after bringing in two new additions this window as reported by the Mirror.
The Gunners have already brought in Henrikh Mkhitaryan and are looking at the prospect of signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the boss is set to have more money made available to him after a number of departures in recent months.
The North London club are keen to bring Abdou Diallo to the club from German side Mainz as a central defender and it’s an area which they undoubtedly need to improve upon leaking a number of goals this season
The Gunners boss spoke about the prospect of bringing more players in this month as he prepares to get busy as the window draws towards a close.
It depends on the opportunities we have. We can buy players. We are busy on all fronts, so overall I think we are open-minded. Every opportunity we have to strengthen our squad, we’ll take.
He went on to add talking about the need to replace players which has lost to rival clubs in recent months and adding quality to what they have already got.
If people want to buy some of our players, we have [examined that] – players who have less chances to play, we have done it, who deserve to play because they are great players, who have left us.
After that, we’ll see at the end. There’s still a lot that will happen as usual on the transfer market.
