Arsenal confident of landing Aubameyang
Arsenal are reportedly confident that they will sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund this month.
According to a report from the Guardian, the Gunners have held positive talks with Dortmund over a potential move for the Gabon international and the general feeling is that a deal could be struck in the near future.
Aubameyang has often been dropped by Dortmund on disciplinary grounds and it seems they are finally willing to part company with the speedy forward.
The Guardian report that Arsenal may need to cough up a sum of £53.3 million to lure Aubameyang away from Germany but they will know that star quality is necessary if Alexis Sanchez or Mesut Ozil depart the club this month.
Arsenal are expecting to lose Sanchez to either Manchester United or Manchester City in the imminent future and contingency plans are being produced as they plan for life after the Chilean international.
Aubameyang is evidently a prime target for Arsene Wenger and Bordeaux winger Malcom is understood to be a target.
