Arsenal are reportedly ready to bring back Carl Jenkinson from his loan at Birmingham City, according to the Birmingham Mail.
His loan hasn’t gone extremely well, with Jenkinson dislocating his shoulder half an hour into his debut at St Andrews, in a 2-0 loss to Reading, and not featuring for the Blues since.
The Second City club currently lie second bottom of the Championship table, in the relegation zone, above only Sunderland. However, they are just six points off the fifteenth spot.
It was Harry Redknapp who brought Arsenal duo Jenkinson and Cohen Bramall on loan from the Gunners. Bramall has featured rarely, in the match against Reading on the first game of the season and a 1-0 loss at Craven Cottage in December.
Birmingham City manager Steve Cotterill had to say about the two on loan defenders (via Birmingham Mail):
I think things with unfold this month regarding those two lads. There is probably discussion to be had on all quarters on that one.
Now the transfer window’s open obviously things can happen and those situations we need to look at.
Jenkinson and Bramall are reportedly going to be recalled back and then sent out on loan elsewhere to get more game time, as it is believed that Jenkinson is fit again and Bramall, for a man of such young age, needs more minutes under his belt.
