Cech not happy with Arsenal’s lack of titles
Petr Cech has spoken of frustration that Arsenal have been unable to lift the Premier League title during his time at the club.
As reported by the Mirror, Cech believes that fans have every right to be frustrated at the lack of trophies because of the club’s successful history.
When you are used to seeing the team winning the title and suddenly have a 12 year gap then when you have a little hope, then there’s a little bit missing, you have one point missing there, two points missing here.
That’s why last season the reaction of the fans was the strongest because when you accumulate year after year then I can understand the frustration.
I have to say as a player you get frustrated as well when you don’t reach your targets because that’s why you come every day, prepare every day, why you train and I’m used to winning titles and I’m not happy when three years in a row you don’t win one.
Arsenal are already up against it this season to stay in the title race. The Gunners are sixth in the Premier League, 12 points behind leaders Manchester City.
Arsene Wenger’s side have not lifted the Premier League title since their unbeaten 2003/04 season.
The Gunners have won three out of the last four FA Cups, but that has left the fans wanting more.
The lack of trophies has seen the club struggle to keep hold of their best players and they are now preparing to lose possibly both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil for nothing as the pair’s contracts run out at the end of the season.
