Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck is stepping up his recovery ahead of his side’s crunch clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, the Daily Mail reports.
The England international has been sidelined with a hamstring injury recently but appears to be well on his way back to full fitness.
Welbeck participated in training with the Arsenal squad as they gear up for Saturday’s North London derby.
The Gunners have been left with several injury concerns during the international break, with Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud both having withdrawn from their respective national squads. The former appears to be in contention to play at the weekend, however.
Welbeck started the season in relatively strong form but was dealt a blow through his hamstring problem.
Despite this though, he has recovered in reasonably efficient fashion and looks ready to take on Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham side, who have been in good form themselves throughout the opening stages of the campaign.
