Sky Sports News reports that the striker has returned to London after scoring France’s second goal of the game on Friday night.
Giroud will now miss France’s game against Germany on Tuesday.
Despite being in and out of the Arsenal squad this season, Giroud started up front alongside Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann against Wales.
Both strikers were on the scoresheet as Didier Deschamps’ men came out on top.
The 31-year-old is yet to start a Premier League fixture for the Gunners this season, scoring just one goal after coming off the bench.
The striker has seen most of his football come in the Europa League, where he has scored twice this season.
