Arsenal keeping a watchful eye on Luke Shaw
Arsenal are keeping tabs on Luke Shaw’s situation at Old Trafford with the likes of Spurs and Chelsea both interested in signing the defender.
The Telegraph reports that five Premier League clubs could move for the former Southampton man if Jose Mourinho decides to sell him during the January transfer window, with Manchester City and Everton also watching the developments.
United have recently extended the defender’s until 2019 through a clause in his contract.
Despite wanting to sell the defender, United believe by adding the extra year to his contract they can add some value to his price tag.
United paid Southampton £28 million for the defender and hope to recoup some of the back.
Fenerbahce are interested in taking the defender on loan in January, but Shaw is not keen on a temporary move to Turkey.
Mourinho was very critical of the player’s decision to move to Old Trafford when he was in charge at Stamford Bridge and the defender has failed to work his way into the manager’s plans at Manchester United.
