The Gunners are in need of a serious level of motivation and inspiration. There is a negative air around the club, which transcends from the very top of the board members, down to the team, and then across to the fans.
Even though the team are winning on the field, something seems a bit off around Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger seems to be stuck in an impossible situation, between the demand for fans to call for his sacking (for the umpteenth year) and the board demanding for the club to be run in a self-sufficient way.
Currently sitting in fifth place in the Premier League table, Arsenal are nine points adrift of Manchester City at the top. With the squad that Wenger currently has at his disposal, they could mount a title challenge if things could get back on track.
Arsenal’s performances against the lesser sides have been solid, with victories over Brighton, West Brom and Bournemouth so far this season. So with Swansea City travelling to the Emirates, it should be another walk in the park, shouldn’t it?
