Arsenal will be hoping to continue their recent run of good results when they visit Vicarage Road to take on Arsenal on Saturday evening.
Whilst Arsenal are the favourites to win the game, the Hornets should not be under estimated.
They’ve had a very good start to the season and a home win will see them leapfrog the Gunners in the table.
Arsene Wenger will know that his team are in for a tough game so he has a lot to ponder in terms of his set up and the personal he chooses to deploy.
Here is the XI that I think he’ll select for the game:
Goalkeeper: Petr Cech
No brainer really. Cech is the obvious number one.
Centre Back: Rob Holding
Holding might have missed out if Shkodran Mustafi was fit but with the German on the sidelines, the young Englishman will get the nod.
Centre Back: Laurent Koscielny
Laurent Koscielny will captain the side.
Centre Back: Nacho Monreal
Monreal will continue in his new role as part of a strong back three.
Right Wing Back: Hector Bellerin
Hector Bellerin will be tasked with providing width from the right.
Left Wing Back: Sead Kolasinac
Sead Kolasinac has quickly become a fan favourite at the Emirates and his physical style should be useful against Watford.
Centre Midfield: Granit Xhaka
Granit Xhaka is another player who should suit playing against this opposition.
Centre Midfield: Aaron Ramsey
Aaron Ramsey will be hoping to put the pain of the international break behind him as he gets back to business with the Gunners.
Right Forward: Alex Iwobi
Alex Iwobi looks like he’s Wenger’s preferred choice from the right.
Left Forward: Alexis Sanchez
Alexis Sanchez is another who’ll need to put the anguish of missing the World Cup behind him.
Striker: Alexandre Lacazette
Alexandre Lacazette was bought to win games like these for Arsenal. He’ll be hoping to prove his worth on Saturday evening.
