Premier League side Arsenal are considering a move for Paris Saint Germain midfielder Julian Draxler and may be prepared to include Alexis Sanchez in a deal to bring the German to the Emirates, according to a report on Talksport.
The PSG man is not getting as many first team minutes as he would like and wants to ensure he has a place in the German squad for the upcoming World Cup in Russia next summer.
Sanchez’ contract with the Gunners is set to expire and Arsenal would rather lose the Chilean to a foreign rival rather than a domestic one like Manchester City.
24-year-old Draxler has only started four matches for the French giants this season and is looking for some regular football, with Arsenal prepared to offer him what he desires.
Sanchez will be allowed to talk to clubs in January, with PSG being one of the most likely clubs that will pursue his signature.
Manchester City were close signing Sanchez in the summer but the move didn’t go through and Pep Guardiola is expected to come calling again.
PSG are open to the idea of letting Draxler leave the Parc Des Princes in January and this could be a move that suits all parties.
