Crystal Palace set to make Wilshere move
Crystal Palace are set to make a move for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere in January.
According to The Daily Mail, new Palace boss Roy Hodgson is a big fan of Wilshere and wants to make him one of his first signings in the next transfer window.
Wilshere is currently working his way back to full fitness after suffering a leg fracture in April whilst on loan to Bournemouth.
The 25-year-old spent last season on loan to Bournemouth in the Premier League last season.
The midfielder racked up 25 league appearances for the Cherries. This is the most Premier League games he has managed in a season since 2010/11.
Serie A side Sampdoria offered Arsenal £6m – with £1.5m in add-ons – for Wilshere earlier this summer, meaning if Palace wanted a permanent deal they would have to pay in excess of that.
Although, his contract does expire at the end of the season, meaning that Arsenal could be tempted to cut their losses.
Arsenal are looking to offload Wilshere in the next transfer window, as he is not in Arsene Wenger’s current plans.
