Jack Wilshere faces a very uncertain future at Arsenal having not featured for the Gunners yet this season.
The England international spent last season on loan at Bournemouth where for the large part he impressed but Wilshere again suffered an untimely injury, fracturing his leg which forced him to miss most of pre-season.
With his contract expiring next summer, Wilshere was touted around for a potential transfer and the likes of West Ham, Newcastle, Swansea, Sampdoria, Fenerbahce and Antalyaspor were all linked with permanent or loan moves for the midfielder.
Arsenal were open to letting him leave and Trabzonspor manager Muharrem Usta confirmed to Turkish-Football that they were in talks to sign the former Bolton loanee.
I held direct talks with Jack Wilshere. We wanted him on loan and were close to a deal but the move stalled at the last moment.
We made an enquiry and are in talks but Arsenal want a lot for Wilshere. It will be a difficult move to pull off.
Wilshere remains at Arsenal but isn’t in the first-team picture just yet but could be handed an opportunity in the Europa League.
