Arsenal successfully managed to keep Alexis Sanchez at the club during the summer window despite the advances of Manchester City and PSG, but they could be fielding interest again when the January transfer window opens up.

Manchester City believed that had struck a deal worth £60m with Arsenal to sign Sanchez on Deadline Day only for Arsenal to back out of the deal after their efforts to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco ended prematurely.

Not ready to give up on the attacker, Manchester City may come back in for Sanchez when the January transfer window opens, sources have told ESPNFC.

Raheem Sterling will not be included in the deal as was touted during the summer window.

Sanchez’s contract expires at the end of the season and the Chilean has shown no intention to sign a new deal, leading to speculation that he could well be off.

Manchester City will look to add another striker in January and Sanchez remains at the top of their shortlist but Arsenal will again be unwilling to part ways with their star man.
