Arsenal youngster Jeff Reine-Adelaide is being targeting by French Ligue 1 club Nantes, who are keen to give the player more first team action by taking him on a season long loan from the North London club, according to a report on Sport Witness, who quote French news outlet L’Equipe.
The 19-year-old midfielder has grown frustrated with the lack of first team opportunities given to him by Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger and is apparently seeking a loan move to ensure that he gets adequate playing time.
Reine-Adelaide’s contract with Arsenal expires in June 2019 so after returning from this potential loan spell, he would still have one more year remaining with the Premier League club.
The youngster is highly-rated and is one of the best young talents that has broke through the ranks at Arsenal but he has struggled to convince Wenger that he is worthy of being a first-team regular just yet.
Last season, Adelaide made just six appearances with the first team in all competitions and was not used during the pre-season.
Wenger opted to select fellow youngster Reiss Nelson, who played brilliantly on their tour and gained heaps of praise from the manager and fellow players.
L’Equipe say that Adelaide has been offered to Nantes, who are very keen on taking the player for the upcoming season.
