Sanchez was given an extended break by the club after participating in the Confederations Cup this summer in Russia, where his Chile side lost in the final to a young Germany team.
The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer after Arsenal failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, but Wenger is confident that he will stay.
Premier League rivals Manchester City are said to be eyeing up a move for Sanchez who is still uncertain about his future.
Wenger stated that Sanchez would be back in Arsenal training on Sunday but judging by the Chilean’s post, he could be reunited with his team-mates a little later.
Paris Saint Germain have also been linked with Sanchez this summer as the forward prefers to play in Europe’s finest competition.
However, the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette could convince Sanchez to stay one more season at Arsenal and challenge for the Premier League title.
Sanchez netted 24 times in the English top flight last season but it was only good enough to help Arsenal to a fifth placed finish.
