Mahrez ‘considering four-year deal’ offered by Arsenal
Arsenal’s pursuit of Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has been well documented over the last couple of months.
The Algerian international confirmed his desire to leave the King Power Stadium at the end of the season and although interest is high, it’s looking as though he is set for a move to Arsenal.
According to a report from Spanish news outlet Sport, the tricky wide man was holding out on an offer from Barcelona. However, this proposition is yet to come about, and he is growing impatient.
Barca were, as expected, Mahrez’s preferred destination, but he has now seemingly turned his attention towards Arsenal.
It’s stated that a four-year contract has been tabled for the Premier League winner, with the Gunners ready to take advantage of his situation at Leicester.
However, Mahrez will not come cheaply. It’s claimed in the report that he’ll cost around €40m if he is to be lured from the Foxes.
