AC Milan join race for Gunners captain
Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny is the subject of interest from yet another club, this time in the form of AC Milan.
The Mirror claim that the Rossoneri are set to battle French outfit Olympique Marseille for the 31-year-old’s signature.
Milan were taken over by a group of Chinese businessmen who have already provided an influx of cash into the squad. The side are have currently splashed out over £60million on a range of players, and they could be prepared to pay another huge sum for Koscielny.
The Frenchman had yet another brilliant campaign at the Emirates, as he made 43 appearances throughout all competitions – keeping 13 clean sheets in total.
Koscielny himself has said:
“I have a contract with Arsenal, I even signed an extension last November until 2020. I feel very good over there.”
And when asked about speculation surrounding a return to his homeland, Koscielny replied:
“I have always said that I was a Marseille fan when I was younger. When a mythical club like Marseille contact you, it is good. But will I sign for them? I have no idea at all.”
